Grilled 6 - 0 Krattene
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
The Cooking Pot saw a crowd turnout of 48110.
Brendon Vaneechoutte was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Enzo Strunk and
Tommy Husebø. The following players took the field for Grilled:
Germanakos -
Keng Chuan,

An Keng,
Khairul,
Parada -
Reece,
Ming Xin,
Tokarz.
Krattene's lineup was:

Mohd Syamsuddin.
It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 2-5-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 5-4-1. Krattene were relying on their supernatural (14) ability to counter-attack. A crazy pass by
Damian Hutter towards his own keeper almost caused a goal for Krattene, but
Koh Siong Qiang didn't get the finish right.
Grilled took the lead 10 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as
Federico Parada elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Coming from the right,
Aw Keng Chuan almost managed to score another goal for Grilled, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Grilled managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when
Damian Hutter cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Phua Ming Xin squirmed through their central defence after 24 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. A well-executed free kick by
Federico Parada after 31 minutes made it 4 - 0 for Grilled. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.
Aw Keng Chuan left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
Radovan Jaška was the replacement.
Joe Reece could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 67 minutes. Krattene's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 68 minutes gone, but
Zakariyya Mohd Syamsuddin's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. After 75 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Damian Hutter off the field.
Ibnou Balde took his place. After 79 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
Phua Ming Xin gave the Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 0. Grilled's
Orest Tokarz saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 80 minutes. 81 minutes into the game, Grilled's
Radovan Jaška took a seemingly painful knock to his chest. However, he gritted his teeth and decided to play on. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Joe Reece reluctantly made way for
Chan Ze Han on the pitch. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. With 89 minutes played, Grilled's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
Mohd Marzuki Khairul he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 6 - 0. After 90 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
Ibnou Balde might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However,
Mohd Ilyas Baba made a spectacular save. The match ends 6 - 0. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Mohd Marzuki Khairul. On the other hand,
Ibnou Balde's play was disheartening. Most important Krattene player was
Sven Pleslić. However,
Mohd Ilyas Baba made a disastrous appearance.
