Grilled 6 - 2 Haha

55435 spectators had found their way to Olympic Lyons Park, despite the heavy rain. Sverre Klemmensen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Josh Earn and Friedhelm Paules. The wet pitch made it difficult for technical or quick players to stand out. For once, the players relying on physical strength gained the upper hand. The match took place on neutral ground. Lineup: Dob - 中北 (Nakakita), 入江 (Irie) - Künzler, Xin Lee, Xin Seng, Muthyala, Trung Quá - Ze Han, Mudaliar, Parvathaneni.

Starters: Kum Guang - Nemarić, Turpeenniemi, Sing, Al-Hamed - Paprota, Ting Da, Leong Kum, Iyer, Foo - Hadice.

Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Haha, the formation of choice was 4-5-1. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their magical level with that tactic. Grilled took the lead after 3 minutes as a result of Vikram Mudaliar's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. 7 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Vikram Mudaliar broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Grilled. With 18 minutes played, Grilled's Kalki Parvathaneni almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Cyril Künzler's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 19 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to Kalki Parvathaneni who knocked it in for Grilled. 3 - 0! Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Moey Xin Seng squirmed through their central defence after 21 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 0. The visitors' right side was dangerous today; Peh Ting Da made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily scored to reduce the lead to 4 - 1 31 minutes into the match. Despite hurting his right foot at the 40 minute mark, Arif Hadice decided to keep playing. The score became 5 - 1 at 41 minutes into the game, when Grilled were given a penalty which Cyril Künzler blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 1. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Neeraj Muthyala got himself booked. The manager of Grilled was not happy. With the clock showing 57 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Haha resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by Arif Hadice in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. The Grilled free kick 69 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of Chan Ze Han, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 6 - 1! Haha fought on and, after 71 minutes, Arif Hadice was able to reduce the deficit to 6 - 2 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 6 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Haha, with 51 percent of the ball.

Moey Xin Seng performed admirably for Grilled. On the other hand, 雄輝 (Yuki) 入江 (Irie)'s play was disheartening. The most dominating Haha player was without a doubt Vignesh Iyer. Tang Kum Guang on the other hand, had a terrible day.
