Yussof To Mare
18 year-old Grilled International apprentice Yussof bin Amiruddin moved on a free transfer to Brunei third division club Mare & Monti, after a search that spanned several weeks. The Tassobarbasso affiliate have reliably had a keen eye for local talent, and although they have also gained something of a reputation as a revolving door, Yussof was more than happy to take his chances.
"I can't ask more more." the versatile fullback - who can operate in midfield in a pinch too - said. Certainly, his arrival was overshadowed by the S$5.2 million arrival of elite winger Bahrum bin Hj Dani, but Yussof didn't mind. "We all do our jobs on the pitch."
Farmer Bunnies' Tan De Ze however decided to return to a normal career, after coaches advised him that it was unlikely he would get a contract in this market. "It's disappointing, but at least I gave it a go."
