Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 47601 to
The sixth road.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 5-5-0 formation while the visitors instead opted for 2-5-3. Despite hurting his left foot at the 19 minute mark,
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy decided to keep playing. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 20 minutes into the match, and
Chad Thach wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. 26 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as
Federico Parada finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Grilled increased their lead after 28 minutes when
Hwang Teck Fu broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Grilled had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.
The home crowd was not impressed when
Chia Kwang Tse came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 56 minutes. Grilled were now up 0 - 4. Some fine movement on the left led to a Grilled goal after 68 minutes, making it 0 - 5.
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy was noted down as the scorer.
夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
Federico Parada after 69 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 6.
Gandhik Chitre could have put his team up another goal 74 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. Tigers's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing
Subarjo Dani to score easily from the right flank for 1 - 6. The home crowd cheered when, after 80 minutes,
Gandhik Chitre's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 81 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch.
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 85 minutes. After 85 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Aw Keng Chuan off the field.
Damian Hutter took his place. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Hwang Teck Fu reluctantly made way for
Teo Chuan Yong on the pitch. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 3 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 1 - 6. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.
Most important Tigers player was
David Batinić.
Charlie Chung turned in a dismal performance, however.
Gandhik Chitre performed admirably for Grilled. However,
Cameron Law made a disastrous appearance.
