The Rancher Rabbits' youth league clash against local replacements, after Hungarian side Ork Béna Öngyilkos Alakulat failed to turn up, would be marked by unsightly violence. The match would nearly be abandoned after goalkeeper Jamie Zeng had his thigh lacerated in the 68th minute, and this after 15 year-old winger Jai Holkar had been upended and concussed very early on. While the Rabbits held out to win 2-0, Zeng will be out for most of a month from his injuries.

Bunnies assistant coach Fauzi Zahirul Haq, who is also attached to the Rabbits, was incensed at both the opposition and the referee. "We are no pansies, but that sort of rough play is simply unacceptable. There will be a formal complaint."

Ty Paek for his part was solid as Holkar's replacement, but the fans were most taken by Alex Duffy on the left wing. The red-headed Eurasian never stopped running against his markers, and had no shortage of cheek, from his many ambitious tricks.
