The Bogeyman Is Back

The Cooking Pot welcomed a very unexpected guest today, as Djan Bacelar declared that he had brought former Birds star Domenik Bögengang back from fk seskai. The now-37 year-old German might not be the raw force of nature he had once been, but Bacelar was adamant that he would still be a useful option.

"There haven't been many forwards at Grilled who have been as imposing as Bögengang, and I'd not bet against him getting the eight goals he needs to reach the 200 career milestone by the end of the season." Bacelar said.

His continued popularity was underlined by the fervent competition for what could be his last contract, with Spanish Division Seven side Hobbyines U.E very eager for his signature. Yemeni Division Four leaders Estultos International and Finnish Division Six side FC BUrdeN were also ready to take him on, but unfinished business with the Birds prompted Bögengang to return in a S$200000 deal.

Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim was for one pleased to be reunited with his former mentor, who happens to be adopting the jersey number after his own. "Dom taught me a lot when he was here, and he still looked much the same during warm-up. If you're judging him on his age, you might be surprised."
