Grilled 5 - 0 Balmoral

55910 fans braved the pouring rain at The Cooking Pot. Miloš Počuča was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sławomir Hanowski and Kristiaan van Lente. While a boggy pitch like this was an advantage for physical players, it really didn't help those who relied on speed or technique. The following players had been chosen: Dob - Webb, 中北 (Nakakita) - Künzler, Davlatov, Egan, Muthyala, Romijn - Mudaliar, Ze Han, Parvathaneni.

They fielded: Pezzoni - Gustavsson, Canache, Buj - Battaglia, Jándula, Koller, Tuckey, Lasagni - Harnisch, Dehlfeldt.

Grilled Birds started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas Real Balmoral lined up in a 3-5-2 formation. It was obvious that Balmoral were using their passable pressing skill as their primary tactic. Cyril Künzler was very close to giving Grilled the lead with an ingenious free kick routine 5 minutes into the match, but the ball just grazed the bar. With 12 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as Chan Ze Han flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. 33 minutes into the match, the speedy Florus Romijn easily outpaced Billy Gustavsson, chipped the keeper and made the score 2 - 0. 34 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Chan Ze Han broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Grilled. The crowd roared its approval when Massoud Dob somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Balmoral's Manne Dehlfeldt 36 minutes into the game, following a good move through the middle. It was 3 - 0 at the break. Grilled had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

Neeraj Muthyala wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by Bilal Mohammad Harun. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Moey Xin Seng replace Bernie Egan after 46 minutes. Óscar Buj got left behind when Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar left scorch marks in the turf 80 minutes, finishing off with a blisteringly swift strike. 4-0! The visitors got a chance to pull one back after 81 minutes, as the home defence went to sleep, leaving Fabian Harnisch completely unmarked in the middle. His strike was pathetic though, and dribbled into the arms of the home side's keeper. Massoud Dob made a brilliant save 82 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from Fabian Harnisch on the right hand side. After 83 minutes, Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar swiftly ran past Óscar Buj and nutmegged the keeper! 5 - 0. Grilled's Islom Davlatov swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. With 89 minutes played, Grilled's Moey Xin Seng almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. The match ends 5 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 56 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Kalki Parvathaneni. Gilbert Webb was a disappointment, however. Most important Balmoral player was Fabian Harnisch. Michel Battaglia on the other hand, had a terrible day.
