Liu Goes Balam
17 year-old Rancher Rabbits trainee Liu Su Yeow hit the big time, as he was picked up by former Mexican Primera División side R.Ek Balam 06 on a free. Balam are currently contesting in Division Two, but probably not for much longer as head coach Renato Calderón oversees a complete rebuild.
That Liu would be selected by a club of Balam's stature was honestly unexpected by both the player himself and his advisors, who were quite open in admitting his limitations. "Liu's a striver, and he knows it." Rabbits chief scout Yip De Da said. "Perhaps Calderón sees something in him that we haven't."
