Grilled Birds' Trophy of Legends run would stutter on the second day, as they lost two of their three fixtures, to counterpunching teams. This was, of course, hardly a novel weakness, but one that they had managed to overcome in main during the season proper, though sheer bloody-mindedness as much as anything. That level of motivation would be sorely missing here, though, as was the physical conditioning.

First up would be German third division runners-up FC_Catalunia, who settled on a 5-4-1 with former Bosnian youth international forward Pavle Stefanović tasked to overload on the right. This strategy worked wonders after Kalki Parvathaneni's 12th minute opener, with Nico-Jan Laubert underlapping presciently to equalize in the 21st minute. Stefanović would then put FC_Catalunia ahead with an apt header three minutes later, before switching flanks to close the game out midway through the second half.

The Birds recovered with a 7-1 thumping of Argentine Division Four side Racing Spurs, with hat-tricks recorded both by Bernie Egan and Chu Xin Lee, only to be sent crashing back down to earth by decorated Spanish second divisioners Briviesca C.F.. Long regarded as the top club in Castile and León, they would systematically wear Grilled down - again after the Birds had claimed the lead, this time through Chan Ze Han - to triumph 6-1.

Midfielder Salah Kamel conceded that high-quality counterattacking teams remained Grilled's Achilles heel, but was also quick to remind that they were not at their best. "It may be an excuse, but it's been a long season."

Farmer Bunnies would on the other hand enjoy a perfect three wins, beginning with a 2-0 shutout of Sweden's Fröjdadals revenge. The Division Four opponents, natty in their yellow-and-black checks, were placed on unfamiliar footing after Wong Ting Yew scored on the first attempt, in the second minute. A handful of passable counters by the Buns would follow, though the only other goal would come from Brendan Leung after a long build-up.

The Buns would have to depend upon Nurlan Ablaev answering his Turkish counterpart Cengiz Kurt goal for goal, after Namdar Zarar's opener, in a 3-2 win over Italian sixth division side A,C, Infernetto. Virtus Juve-Kanarya of the same league and division were then put down 3-0, in a match made all the simpler by Alfredo Brunetti's yellow cards in succession, in the 59th and 62nd minutes. Mushtag Al-Nameeri closed that game off with a sharp counter in injury time.

International's below-par form continued with a losing 1-2 record, as Czech V.45 side NFK Skalka hammered them 5-1 in their first outing of the day, with Osertz Indurain's reducer getting more than overturned by a devastating Przemysław Krasulak. Another Pole, Henryk Pruchniewski, would be their nemesis in their next match against Polish sixth divisioners PFK Oslo, who won 5-3 with a Pruchniewski hat-trick.

Redemption of a form would come at Norwegian Division Five titlewinners ...Boro..., who would at least succumb to International's loose but potentially deadly brand of possession-centered play. Fausto Perono got the team going in the 33rd minute, and this would conclude in a 4-0 result by the end.
