Curaçao Division Four club Sunny Island Experience signed Farmer Bunnies midfield trainee Micky Wu for S$72000, as the Blue Waves Experience affiliates sought to assemble a spine on which they could build. Wu arrived a day after Romanian veteran Alexandru Blindu, for whom the Islanders will be his eleventh club in a twenty year career.
With Dumb and Dumber's Team (Italian Division Seven) letting their early option lapse, it was between Sunny Island Experience and another lower division Italian club in A.S. Gamo for Micky. It wasn't a difficult choice, as it turned out.
"I saw it as a chance to tread new ground." the youngster said. "A new league means room to achieve, to be a pioneer. Plus, have you seen how sharp the blue jerseys look?"
