Cheng & Ang Depart
After the Birds and the Buns' intakes, two local lads have gone the other way, with Jordan Cheng and Ang Dong Yi - both eighteen - striking out on their own.
Cheng, who has yet to decide upon his best position, was taken on by FLACANAGEM FC of the Brazilian sixth division, for a minor consideration of some S$14000. Accra CS AG (Ghana Division Three), on a similar recruitment spree, were his other choice, but the opportunity to ply his trade in the hallowed land was too much for Cheng to pass up.
As for the Buns' Ang, he would go to Peru's Los 7 Esquinas on a free transfer, as their first ever purchase. A tenacious central defender, Ang will hope to start in the newly-established club's first match, a Copa Rubí Almte. second-round contest against Recreativo Pucusana.
