Farmer Bunnies head coach Sikong Darong brought in the reinforcement he had hinted at, hiring Argentinian 22 year-old Llamil Vener from Dutch Division Six club fc Fryske dumkes for S$610000. A fixture in the frequently tumultuous Fryske midfield, Vener ultimately determined that he wasn't getting the exposure he left Rio Negro side PIXEL NEGRO for, and put in his transfer request after a less-than-satisfying first season.

Despite strong interest from Ekipa Łodzi (Polish Division Six) and Triestina club (Italian Division Six), Sikong's offer of a key role in the Bunnies midfield - pending his own easing-out - proved too great a lure, and he soon agreed to a three-year contract.

Sikong presented his new Number 26 as a capable pivot, who can fill multiple roles as required. "Vener is proven, and young enough to improve appreciably with us, and has other intangibles into the deal. He'll be on the bench tomorrow, and depending on how things go, he might enter straight into the fray."
