karpiu Take Lin
Polish Division Six club karpiu signed 18 year-old Rancher Rabbits player Lin Kiong Chu today, for a nominal sum of S$12000. Known to be effective both in defence and as a covering midfielder, Lin also attracted enquiries from FC S & C (Romanian Division Six), La Plaga F.C (Argentine Division Six), FC KUKUKU (Polish Division Eight) and C.D. Unión Sur Yaiza (Spanish Division Eight).
Rabbits chief scout Yip De Da felt that Lin had a rare combination of physical prowess and reading of the game. "He was a bit of a slow starter, but the other boys were mostly looking up to him, by the time he graduated."
Farmer Bunnies head coach
Sikong Darong agreed that Lin would likely have been given a spot in his squad a few seasons back, but that the composition was not right at this point in time. Sikong also confirmed rumours that the Bunnies have been searching for midfield reinforcements, with Czech utility man Jaromír Mejta - only just signed to Jockes of Finland - previously in their crosshairs.
"We got a good start to the league, but there's no question that we could do with improved control of games when we need it. We're leaning on our contacts in Europe, and with some luck we'll get somebody who works well with
Chai Mohilever and company."
