Choi's Fresh Breath

Rancher Rabbits alumni Choi Yun Jin, who had graduated last week having made a reputation for himself as a competent left winger, scored a free transfer to German Division Six club Team Oxygen. Together with French trainee Abderrahmen Bani, they are set to understudy Jonathan Austin and Sascha Jähnig in Juvenal Caverna's team.

The 17 year-old had been rejected in turn from the now-defunct Build a bear rovers and National Youth League competitors Rob Rangers before Tong Han Kong recruited him for the Rabbits, which Choi revealed had fueled his fire to make it. "It was tough not getting selected, which made me throw everything I had into training."

Tong, while happy for his mentee, was also fast to give some parting words of caution. "Choi will be first to admit that he isn't the kind of player that has some natural ability that sets him apart from the pack. He does know how to toil, for sure, and that may be enough."
