Qi Haupai announced that Grilled Birds would be concentrating on playmaking training, a switch in emphasis from the scoring training initially adopted by the club.
"It is a matter of common sense," he said, "since we have only one young striker of note,
Tim Hobson, but quite a few eminent playmakers on whom hinge the success of the club. Dai-Lin, Seng-kar and Magunsson will expecially benefit from this focus. When the gate money from our next home matches come in, we will be able to bring in more youth talent in for training."
Haupai estimates that he will be spending about another S$100000 on young midfielders in the near future to replace Grilled's ageing engine room.
