Four Players Leave

Grilled Birds today bid farewell to four of their ageing players who have not managed to make an impression on coach Qi Haupai. Lin Yin-Xiang, Mo Hiu-Lam, Tai Vinh-Thien and Xuan Le-Thu, the former three all 28 year old midfielders while the latter a 25 year old striker, were released from their contracts as they found themselves surplus to requirements due to an influx of foreign talent.

Some sources have suggested that this is a form of penny-pinching as the club hopes to save approximately S$5000 on their wages weekly. Yin-xiang, former captain of Grilled Birds summed up the feelings of the four players when he said that they were disappointed, but also agreed that they were over the peak of their careers. "I am already looking forward to my new job as a physical fitness trainer.", he said as he waved his golden watch to the crowd.
