Dominion After
Grilled captain
Ha Qicai could not help but praise
Chia Kwang Tse, for what he deemed as one of the most dominating second half displays he had encountered for years. "Sure, our hosts were not taking it too seriously, but don't let that take too much away from Chia." the Hong Kong centreback insisted. "He was a step ahead of everybody else."
Tian Yonghang was moreover happy to report that
Toma Tamiya was none the worse for wear, after taking a stiff one between his legs, six minutes from the end. "I felt that one from the touchline, but fortunately it seems the ball didn't hit head on. Thank goodness."
He continued by announcing that Grilled Birds would be participating in the Dominion International Cup tournament, during the season break. "We have a lot of players needing to get used to new roles, and the best way to do it is through experience. With them entering their physical prime, I think they can get away with some extra matches."
Farmer Bunnies were shut out in their friendly at H.A.L V.238 club Mariannah FC, as the Canadians' balanced 4-4-2 proved too difficult for them to break down. Romanian right winger Viorel Rizescu provided good leadership for Mariannah over the ninety minutes, but it was local forward Robert Pudlewski's superb free-kick in the ninth minute, that won it for them.
With promotion all but guaranteed, Grilled International were quite relaxed facing Grenada III.1 side Slovak Caribbean Expedition, which also completed their Hattrick passport.
Remond Bergervoet and
Redhuan bin Mohd Aleshahfezan got a brace each, and
Leri Bezhanishvili's 57th minute breakthrough made it a 5-2 victory. Florimond Piquemal's excellent takedown got him a goal in the 36th, but
Querubim Santos Couto would deny his equally-good header just before half-time.
