56607 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day. Peeter Ossiander was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Achacy Strządała and Jasper Bürkler. The following players took the field for Grilled: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, Panigrahi - Ferzan, Thach, Teck Fu, An Keng, Parada - Reece, Balde, Ze Han.

City's lineup was: Wahid - 古井 (Furui), 黒宮 (Kuromiya), Kiong Wei, Rong Da - Li Rong, Shim, Fitri Helmi, Chang Tse - Kang Kok, Leong.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 2-5-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 4-4-2. Grilled took the lead 8 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as Hwang Teck Fu elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Chan Ze Han increased the lead for Grilled to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! 17 minutes in, Grilled's Federico Parada received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 18 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Ibnou Balde broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Grilled. It was a fine day for Federico Parada on his wing, his cross pass to Lim An Keng was especially delicate 26 minutes into the game, but the keeper saved. Ibnou Balde could have increased the lead after 27 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Cheers filled the stadium as Chan Ze Han broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Grilled. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Grilled had most of the ball, with 80 percent of possession.

Ibnou Balde would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Orest Tokarz entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Bhavya Panigrahi reluctantly made way for Gilbert Webb on the pitch. After 49 minutes, Grilled's Chan Ze Han found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 5 - 0. By then Chan Ze Han had scored three goals - a hat trick! Grilled's Chad Thach had an excellent opportunity after 63 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! 66 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty that Chan Ze Han turned into 6 - 0 without a problem. With 69 minutes played, Grilled's Federico Parada almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Orest Tokarz shows no mercy as he runs straight at the City playmaker, then stumbling through the ensuing mess with the ball and scoring for Grilled. That's 7-0 from the power forward, 70 minutes in! Grilled's Orest Tokarz blocked one attack after another by City, finally picking the ball up for himself and powering through towards the goal. It paid off! 8-0 after 71 minutes. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Chan Ze Han gave Kalki Parvathaneni a quick hug as he left the field. With Chan Ze Han no longer on the pitch, Gilbert Webb took over free kick duty. Gilbert Webb was the new captain of Grilled - handed the armband by the departing player. The referee announced 3 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 8 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 78 percent of possession.

Lim An Keng performed admirably for Grilled. Gilbert Webb on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important City player was Yip Li Rong. On the other hand, Saliman Wahid's play was disheartening.
