He Said Tamit Said
Grilled International had a rare uplifting moment today, as they inducted academy lad
Tamit bin Said to the main squad. The 17 year-old playmaker had been a model citizen during his time in the Busy Bees, where he had just signed off with their second goal in a 2-3 home loss to Young Fellows FC Brain. Lan Haichao had struck the first after clever swinging-in from the left in the 27th minute, and may well be a candidate to join Tamit in the coming weeks.
Tamit will be the first Bees graduate to make the leap since
Redhuan bin Mohd Aleshahfezan three seasons ago, but there will surely hardly be a better time, with
Didi Reidenbach - or his successor - now committed to a full rebuild. "Tamit works hard, he fights for the ball, plays well with others." Reidenbach concluded, as he introduced the new Number 23. "He should find it easy to fit in right away."
Reidenbach would also introduce two more teenaged transfers from outside, with Pole
Waldemar Gołata and Iranian
Mohsen Zeynali joining up. Both primarily wingers, former Number Thirty Gołata would cost just over S$400,000 from his Division Five hometown outfit KKS GWDA PIŁA, who had also received an expression of interest from Uruguayan V.175 side Bohemios SJ. As for Zeynali, he hailed from current Kavir Cup holders FC aboumoslem, and was available on a free.
"It's going to get crowded in the locker room again." International star
Chua Jun Long quipped. "Good to finally see some new faces around!"
