Grilled 0 - 3 Sailors

Clouds darkened the skies at Olympic Lyons Park as 54655 spectators turned up for the match. Paco Tomas Hernandez was the appointed referee with assistance provided by José Pascual Pérez and Morten Marstein. The match took place on neutral ground. After 0 minutes, [Replacement Error: Context 'subjectPlayerName' not found] showed no mercy as he ran straight at the Grilled playmaker, mowing him down. He could stay on his feet himself, but only managed a feeble shot that didn't trouble the keeper at all. The following players took the field: Batâr - 中北 (Nakakita), 入江 (Irie) - Künzler, Saliman, Xin Seng, Muthyala, Romijn - Xin Lee, Ze Han, Eshrafi.

Lineup: Galarreta - Teck Tze, Punyachartrat, Harrison - Thomas, Najib, Bolko, Chun, Tong Siong - Cano, Demea.

Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Marina Sailors, the formation of choice was 3-5-2. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine ability to attack in the middle. Sailors saw most attack opportunities on the wings, taking advantage of their divine (+1) level with that tactic. Some great play up the middle by Grilled led to a chance for Chu Xin Lee to score after 7 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Slack defending gave Grilled a chance to take the lead with 38 minutes played, but Iman Eshrafi's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. 0 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 56 percent of the ball.

雄輝 (Yuki) 入江 (Irie) would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Hoàng Trung Quá entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. The terraces were silenced after 55 minutes when Sailors's Mohd Umar Najib put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. Grilled's Mohammad Ramli Saliman got himself booked for a foul. Malcolm Chun slowly got up on his feet, clutching his right thigh, but eventually signalled that he was ready to play on. Iginio Cano increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as Chan Ze Han tried lifting the ball over keeper Ramón Galarreta. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. After 69 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Gavin Harrison a chance to increase the lead for Sailors, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Moey Xin Seng got himself booked. The manager of Grilled was not happy. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 0 - 3. Grilled had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

Mohammad Ramli Saliman performed admirably for Grilled. On the other hand, Valentin Batâr's play was disheartening. The most dominating Sailors player was without a doubt Iginio Cano. Puchong Punyachartrat turned in a dismal performance, however.
