Grilled 6 - 2 Really

59000 punters turned up at The Cooking Pot, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Roman Zdziebko was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Halvor Jacobsen and Nest Pitschon. Lineup: Batâr - 入江 (Irie), Trung Quá - Künzler, Muthyala, 中北 (Nakakita), Saliman, Romijn - Xin Seng, Davlatov, Xin Lee.

They fielded: Frani - Som, Atanasov, Lakspere - Cazzani, Tafakis, McCaskill, Fornesi, Vehmas - Bahamondes, Britton.

Grilled Birds entered the field in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, Really McCoys, chose to start the game with a 3-5-2 lineup. It seemed as though Grilled considered the game won before even taking the field, which resulted in a very uninspired start to the game. Really saw most attack opportunities on the wings, taking advantage of their divine (+3) level with that tactic. After 7 minutes of play, Cyril Künzler gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Grilled's Mohammad Ramli Saliman managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 2 - 0 Neeraj Muthyala could have increased the lead after 16 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. 30 minutes into the match, Really replied and reduced the lead to 2 - 1. Jaani Vehmas scored on a marvellous cross pass coming in from the left. Valentin Batâr slowly got up on his feet, clutching his right thigh, but eventually signalled that he was ready to play on. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) increasing the lead to 3 - 1. With 42 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Really showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 3 - 2 when Colm Britton got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. 3 - 2 was the halftime score. Grilled had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

During the break, Grilled have had a conversation about the risk of taking this win for granted. At least some of the players should have taken this to heart as the referee signals the start of the second half. 47 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Chu Xin Lee broke through, making the score 4 - 2 for Grilled. The referee showed Really's Urbano Cazzani the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 51 minutes, Moey Xin Seng slowly got up on his feet, clutching his left thigh, but eventually signalled that he was ready to play on. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Gene Filippone replace 雄輝 (Yuki) 入江 (Irie) after 70 minutes. Grilled were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 72 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by Cyril Künzler. 5 - 2 for the home side. Grilled's Islom Davlatov had an excellent opportunity after 77 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! After 78 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Islom Davlatov might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However, Eduard Frani made a spectacular save. Grilled solidified their lead at the 79 minute mark, as 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 2. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 88 minutes, 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) came on for Islom Davlatov. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 6 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

Most important Grilled player was Mohammad Ramli Saliman. Hoàng Trung Quá on the other hand, had a terrible day. Really's best player was Teodovico Bahamondes. Urbano Cazzani turned in a dismal performance, however.
