52996 punters turned up at The Cooking Pot, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Santiago Ceballos was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sebastian Kuze and Sten Liljenerberg. All of Jurong was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby. Grilled decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. The following players had been chosen: Tian Han - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Shun An - Ping Shun, Lee Hao, 长春 (Changchun), Meyer, Aik Jia - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.

singnet_utd started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Pillitu - Öykü, Jämsén, Rouvas - Fougeroux, 坤贤 (Kunxian) , 智成 (Zhicheng), Durlinger, Restelli - 琨齐 (Kunqi) , Mostowski.

Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Down the middle came 凌. 智成 (Zhicheng), making a fantastic play that nearly had singnet_utd take the lead after 4 minutes, but W. Tian Han preserved the tie. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 18 minutes into the match, and T. Rouvas wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. With 22 minutes played, singnet_utd put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was L. Restelli. 31 minutes into the game, singnet_utd worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Grilled's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 32 minutes into the match as C. Ying Lee ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 1 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. singnet_utd enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

L. Restelli came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over W. Tian Han but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. 59 minutes in, Grilled's L. Aik Jia received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 62 minutes of play, M. bin Mohd Kassim evened things up for Grilled with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2. Some great play up the middle by Grilled led to a chance for W. Ping Shun to score after 63 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Ö. Öykü of singnet_utd received a yellow card after 67 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 51 percent of the ball.

Still tied after 90 minutes, the match continued into extra time. After 91 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving C. Ying Lee off the field. R. Isufi took his place. After 91 minutes, M. bin Mohd Kassim came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 3 - 2, giving Grilled the lead. After 95 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by W. Shun An might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However, N. Pillitu made a spectacular save. The referee showed singnet_utd's 方. 坤贤 (Kunxian) the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The visitors refused to give in and, after 103 minutes, L. Restelli evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 3 - 3 The crowd gasped as 凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) of Grilled was flattened by an opponent after 104 minutes and had to be carried off. G. Filippone came in off the bench. 105 minutes into the match, singnet_utd nearly took the lead, as P. Durlinger broke through on the right. W. Tian Han made the save, however. There was still no winner after 30 minutes of extra time so the teams had to select a lineup for a penalty shoot-out to settle the result.

Grilled's W. Ping Shun kept his cool as he faced down N. Pillitu. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 4 - 3. singnet_utd's N. Pillitu was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 4 - 4! Grilled's G. Filippone coolly put the ball past N. Pillitu. 5 - 4. singnet_utd's 方. 坤贤 (Kunxian) showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 5 - 5. Grilled's W. Tian Han made no mistake. N. Pillitu didn't have a chance. 6 - 5. singnet_utd's W. Fougeroux coolly put the ball past W. Tian Han. 6 - 6. Grilled's R. Isufi kept his cool as he faced down N. Pillitu. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 7 - 6. singnet_utd's 凌. 智成 (Zhicheng) was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 7 - 7! Grilled's 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) didn't hesitate but N. Pillitu managed the save, resulting in an unchanged 7 - 7 score. singnet_utd's L. Restelli made no mistake. W. Tian Han didn't have a chance. 7 - 8. Grilled's top performer was clearly 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . W. Shun An was a disappointment, however. 方. 坤贤 (Kunxian) performed admirably for singnet_utd. J. Jämsén on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 8.
