Dookie Dumped
Four Ulf
Division Five League One leaders dookie utd's admirable winning start to the season was ended by Grilled Birds, with
Aznan Noor Yadah returning to Cup competition after a long absence. He didn't make an impression back in the middle, although with the strike force in flaming form, it wasn't needed.
Norwegian star
Jan Langeland strode by the uncertain Henny van der Kerk four minutes into the game, and put it away past recent youth team promotee Dou Tze-Yong to set the tone. dookie's midfielder Ni Hsiao then got booked for throwing the ball at a disputed throw-in, and their Chilean signing Alfonso Rocha appeared shaken after a harsh shoulder charge by Pakpao.
The second came from the left as Riviera combined well with Spirig to bring the ball up, and his average cross was transformed into an assist with a piece of adventurous shooting by Hjortlind. More cautions were forthcoming, and in the 31st minute Swiss winger Vitus Lichty received one for catching Barbour late. The dookie defence was caught napping five minutes later, as Hjortlind couldn't get to a risky mispass but slid it wide for Barbour to return. Langeland was waiting at the corner of the penalty area, and cracked a goal into the near post.
dookie maintained their close contact, and Noor Yadah dropped like a sack of potatoes on a mistimed tackle that the referee had his back turned to. Fortunately, no damage was done.
Hjortlind then took the match into his own hands, chalking up three goals in the 50th, 73rd and 77th minutes respectively. Tellingly, Langeland had a hand in all of them, twice presenting the ball to his less-heralded partner when he had a decent look at goal.
Antonio Fernández Riviera entertained with a power-packed direct shot for the seventh, and Rottman blew a possible eighth when he tried finesse with a tasty headed pass from Spirig, only for Dou to palm it out.
