Masa? Yap!
Eighteen year-old forward Yap Yun Su moved to Barcelona to play for Division Six La Masa, joining new recruits Waclaw Lutynski of Poland, and Einar Sund and Jonas Nordby of Sweden, in morning training. Yap has built a small reputation having a good bite in his tackles, a legacy of all the defensive roles he held in childhood pickup games. Yun cut a fine figure in La Masa's red and white stripes, and is eager to see La Masa go up again after two consecutive seasons of promotion. Local Serangoon club Cyco C.F. made a first offer, but did not top La Masa's S$17 000.
