Prince Of The Bernabéu
Grilled International trainee Raja Solihan Nasiruddin won a transfer to Argentine fifth division club Bernabéu Eterno for a nominal fee of S$42,000, with the gifted midfielder also attracting serious attention from Dutch VI.530 side Pinkwin. Initial approaches were also made by Matchico FC (French Division Six), çınarcıkspor (Turkish Division Six) and baletnice3 (Apache League Division Three, from Poland), but were not followed up.
Two were more than enough for Raja, admittedly, as he recounted long discussions into the night with his parents, on a move abroad. "Neither of them looked forward to it much." he admitted. "But in the end they agreed that it was the best for me."
Eterno's Turkish head coach Onur Emciata was adamant about recruiting Raja come what may, and considering the seventeen year-old's frighteningly rounded arsenal of skills for his age, this could well be understood. Word is that the newbie has already been promised a starting place in Eterno's midweek friendly against Las Valkirias, which could only have sweetened the deal.
