Peh On Egnacher
Newly-founded Swiss Division Six side Egnacher FC signed Grilled International youth playmaker Peh Yew Shi - coincidentally right before his 18th birthday - on a free today. The midfielder had been described as rather vanilla, but his Busy Bees scout Zulfadly bin Hj Ratano interpreted that as also meaning he was a blank canvas.
"He has a good attitude, and has always been a team player." Zulfadly added. "And a willing learner. That's what most new clubs want."
Peh will be part of an international cast of trainees, most prominent among them perhaps modern English defender Peter Fraser, who lasted half a season with his native Westbourne Reds before leaving. In comparison, the Chilean Italo Gomez and the Turkish Ahmet Efe Bildirici are unknown quantities, not that it matters too much to the International lad.
"We're all here to make friends, right?"
