Yip Yep To Lawrence
Chicken Wings graduate Yip Kum Siong left to join up-and-coming Tanglin club Lawrence, KS FC for a nominal consideration today, with the St. Xavier's FC affiliate having just sold off Kang Nie Pin, while welcoming former United Warrior Team prodigy Harris Yung home for S$9 million.
While Yip considers himself first and foremost a striker, his physical style has put him in good stead anywhere down the centreline of the pitch. "We've told him that he's a one-trick pony." assistant coach Abdul bin Jantan said. "But we can't deny that it's been an excellent trick either."
Yip had also drawn interest from Austrian sixth division side Lord_HÜ_Warriors, but he expressed a preference to stay in Singapore for now at least. "It's more convenient for my schooling."
