ALTINTAŞ Snag Tang
Istanbul club ALTINTAŞ FC have obtained the signature of Grilled trainee defender Eric Tang, paying a consideration of S$38000 for the 18 year-old. The recent Division Six promotees beat out interest from juvearafat (Palestinian Third Division) and Superpigerne (Danish Fifth Division) in the process.
Eric won respect as a no-nonsense centreback during his time at the Chicken Wings, and proved a rock against high balls and corners. Additionally, the youth coaches have reported him as being comfortable with bringing the ball up too, although it is not one of his greatest strengths.
With fellow recruits Dimitar Michev and Lucien Buddingh possessing much the same attributes, Tang will have his work cut out to impress Ukrainian head coach Eduard Mozheiko. This is not something that he is afraid of, though.
"It will be a challenge to adapt to this new environment as quickly as I can." Tang said. "But it was also gratifying that there were offers from multiple parties. juvearafat were an enticing prospect, but upon further consideration, Mozheiko's plans for me were the most ideal, at this stage of my career."
