Red Hot Roland
17 year-old Rancher Rabbits alumni fullback Roland Le left for local Division Four leaders Red Freaking Chillies in a deal worth slightly more than S$125000 today, becoming one of the first batch of transfers to join the resurrected club; Grilled had split two games with their previous incarnation in II.2 thirteen seasons ago.
Rabbits scout Tong Han Kong, who recruited Le, described him as a strongly competitive character, who had worked his way to being one of their best defenders by the time of his departure. "Roland's not as naturally gifted as some we have seen here, but he throws himself into drills almost religiously. He was always going to make it."
This was evidenced by a host of clubs signalling their interest in Le despite the general oversupply of trainees, perhaps most notably including former Moldovan Divizia Naţională club PIKA BU. Others were Cuola's Rangers (Spanish Division Five), Bayern Adamsa (Polish Division Seven), Creative Humans (Portuguese Division Six) and Dolun4y FC (Turkish Division Six).
