22 year-old former Farmer Bunnies defender Makarim Dhiya Azza has been persuaded back to the club, after a three season long stay at German club FC Boxenluder 07 that has seen him develop as an attacking fullback. Previously kept in the centre at the Buns, Elias van Dal sees him as a useful option against hard-to-crack opposition.

"While we have our strengths, breaking down defences is not one of them, and I think Makarim can help us here." van Dal justified his S$3.1 million outlay. "He made some devastating overlaps supporting Falkenfeld at Boxenluder, and if he can build a similar partnership here, it will add another dimension to our play."
