Hwang, Tan Power On
Two Rancher Rabbits graduates moved on free transfers this Saturday, with playmaker Jonathan Hwang and defender Tan Jian Aik bound for Division Eight sides in Poland and Spain respectively.
Hwang, 18, was among the inaugural batch of six trainees assembled by the newly-refounded PlwocinyWRajtuzach Łódź, and had been rated by scouts as a relentless, if not technically outstanding, box-to-box runner. Rejected by singnet_utd's youth side, Hwang gained a second chance with the Rabbits, and made the most of it with a tireless work ethic.
While Hwang had taken some time finding the position in which he could make the most impact, Tan knew that he was a sweeper from the get-go, and few coaches could find much wrong with his understanding of the role in his time with the Rabbits. Tan's late entry proved a stumbling block, though, but Fenómenos F.C. saw enough in the 19 year-old to make him their first signing, before splashing for Danish winger Flemming Guldmann.
