A Ramli To Start
Farmer Bunnies kicked 2016 off with the recruitment of United Warrior Team player
Hasmawi Alawee Ramli, who has filled in at virtually all outfield positions with the Toa Payoh-based S-League club, and who
Elias van Dal is intent on having concentrate on being a winger.
"The coaching staff identified a need for another proven wide man, to understudy for
Milán Bolgár and
Cheah Chang Ming." van Dal said. "
Edward Ong could do with some competition, and he's not suited to the left anyway."
The negotiations for the 24 year-old Ramli involved counteroffers from Arsenal Football Club (Swiss Division Seven) and Zabo United (German Division Six), but the lure of not having to move outweighed his curiosity, leading to the clubs agreeing on a S$102000 transfer fee.
"My family were not too keen on me packing up for another country." Ramli confessed. "And, looking at how
Aswad Mohd Jafni has progressed, Farmer Bunnies are a fine destination for further development."
