Farmers Cash In

Farmer Bunnies got their financial engines revving, as the young club made their first million-dollar sale. Derek Ang gained the honour of setting this milestone, with his S$1.04M transfer to active Fifth Division Tenbury Utd, based in Worcestershire.

It was either Tenbury or one of Hertha Praha (Czech Division Six) and LaDoua FC (French Division Seven), but Ang felt that the culture shock would be minimized in England. "No need to make it any harder for myself." he quipped.

Joining him on the way out was former J4 Almighty youth player Makarim Dhiya Azza, who overcame some initial disappointments to snag a S$600000 move to Germany. Rebuilding Division Eight side FC Boxenluder 07 liked what they saw, and included Azza in a buying spree that has seen them spend over seven million in the past week.

The lads, both having turned nineteen less than a fortnight ago, were eager to continue furthering their careers. "It was nice at Bunnies, but there's a whole world out there." Ang said. "Still, I have to say that the developmental support here was great."

"Agreed." Azza, who achieved 16 starts and two goals, chipped in. "I will cherish the memories."
