To Train With Dragons

Bulgarian former youth international defender Slavcho Tzonkov returned to his original club for a S$400 000 fee, with huge swathes of Echigo Dragons supporters lining the airport arrival hall to welcome the 35 year-old local lad made good back home. "It's good to be back." Tzonkov commented. "I think I still have a lot to contribute."

His departure means that Walter Ross, now 28, becomes third in line for a defensive spot, and the Austrian revealed that he was eager to take the step up after four seasons of playing fourth fiddle or worse, and just 28 appearances in total. "It has been especially bad since we made the tactical switch to 2-5-3 as the main formation." Ross said. "But now my time has finally come. I hope."
