Wardi Azhari will continue his career with Swiss Division Seven side FC Burkina Faso after a S$1.25 million deal was arranged, having made six official appearances and scored in five of those for the Birds. Wardi, who also found the net in what turned out to be his farewell against The_Monoliths on Wednesday, was designated Number 23 for his new side.
Wardi professed excitement at the move, especially after Turkish coach Batı Evrensel briefed him about his plans for the team, which involve combining well with the other new arrival, Chilean César Phillips. "I discussed my future here with the coach, and he agreed that this was best as he couldn't promise me match time." Wardi admitted. "Still, Grilled will always remain in my heart."
