Grilled's floundering season threatened to turn into farce after 30 year-old Moldovan captain Gleb Dorogan was let go to Spanish Division Eight frontrunners tabaniscas54 for S$2.3 million, with German club Yogis Dream-Team reportedly also in the running.

Dorogan, who has largely been utilized on the left wing in his Grilled career and had just scored his fiftieth competitive goal, was reportedly unhappy with the lack of communication between him and club management. "As captain, I felt that I should have had their ear, and some idea on where the club was going." Dorogan said, having led the Birds out on the pitch 24 times since his installation as skipper last season.

The exit could hardly have come at a worse time for Grilled, who are yet to claim their first points of the season, with defending champions Arrogancae to visit next. Han made no comment.
