Two Grilled players have embarked upon the second stage of their careers after spending the first half as backups. Midfielder Chan Woon Jin is now at Bosnian Division Six club N.K.ILIJAS 2, while wingback Badrul Afzan bin Mustapa is now with Turkish Division Eight side Calabria F.C, both for nominal sums.

Head coach Han Lik-Tsun gave the pair his blessings. "It's never easy to adjust to a new environment, but Chan and Badrul have never shirked, despite never having a true run in the first team." he praised. The two have eleven appearances and three goals between them.

Han took the opportunity to bemoan missing out on recruiting former Chicken Wings talents yet again, as Zhao Jing Wei was eventually acquired by Arrogancae for a mere S$4.5 million, with the longtime league leaders in a triple swoop for Zhao, Zhong Anguo and Shaiful Bahri bin Ahman from Woxingwosu FC for a combined total of over S$12 million.

"It was a complete steal." Han moaned. "Zhao would have fitted in so well with our plans."

Grilled had no luck with Abdul bin Jantan either, as they were outbid by French Division Six club FC Hauteville, who offered S$2.1 million for the playmaker; they did have the pleasure of inducting capable Chicken Wings forward Tang Hengcai into the main squad.

Tang, who can operate wide, and has also exhibited a doggedness in winning the ball back, has often been compared to current Grilled leading man Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim due to their hidden strengths in the air. This was acknowledged by the Grilled coaches, who have assigned him the No. 19 that Pujolràs vacated - right after his illustrious senior.
