Youngsters with less determination than eighteen year-old playmaker Hu Jingxin might have been tempted to quit the game after less-than-flattering reviews of his talent during his time with the Chicken Wings were followed by a lack of interest from clubs, but Hu stuck it out and was rewarded with a contract by Uzbek Division Two side AC Ko'kcha.
Youth scout Lim Hock Puay, who brought Hu into the Wings fold, candidly admitted that Hu's decision making will still take some working on, as he still loves the Hollywood ball beyond his ability to pull them off, but predicted eventual success for his protégé.
"While he's not quite among the best for his age, the fact that a second division side were willing to take him on a free says a lot about his potential." Lim noted. "If he continues work on his passing, as he has done for years now, he will have a career at the top."
