Peruvian Pain

U-20 Singapore, playing in their away strip of blue and white, were cleaned up by a strong Peruvian side that racked up their fourth straight qualifier win. The Singapore coach chose a 4-4-2 with three inner midfielders, but Peru got their goals through Raúl Panizo in the 7th and Santos Yallico in the 69th minute, before Melchor De Romaña made it 3-0 in stoppage time.

Grilled's midfielder Quah Han Kok, now a mainstay in central midfield for the U-20 side, noted that spirits in the Singaporean camp were still at a high. "We've had some hard fixtures, but we're not going to take this too seriously."
