AES Good As Gold
The Buns would welcome another former player after
Lim Su Liang, as Rabbits goalkeeper
AES Anchan returned for S$1.63 million from French VI.671 club i-run man. Anchan had won notice in the academy for his unusual acronym as first name - exactly as in his identity card, he will have you know - and soon started his pro career in Croatia with NK CrniPetar. Five seasons later, he would move for a cool five million to Romania's Apacalda Farabani, where he lasted four years before going to France.
Anchan will understudy
Gilberto Sorondo, but given that the El Salvadorean is four years his senior, expectations are that he will be seriously considered for the starting role as and when Sorondo leaves. For now, however, the new Number Twenty is content to meet up with old pals, and take in the sights. "The place hasn't changed much at all!"
Spanish VI.536 promotees Las Baquetas would contest fellow Division Six side Dandelion for Anchan, with Finnish VI.70 outfit FC Pöhö also entering the later stage of negotiations. Before that, a host of others including Marvel adventure, Ode2GoddessNatasha and Fortunate Sons (all Dutch Division Six), Royal Valley (Polish Division Six), PAMPAM30 (French Division Six) and Sg Gmund 14 (German Division Seven) signalled their interest.
About concurrent with Anchan's arrival, Grilled International would also announce their acquisition of 32 year-old Belgian stopper
Stef Vreys, from Polish III.8 runners-up Obra Kościan. It was reported that International narrowly bested a S$1.5 million offer from Italian V.60 side Pro Evolution Rocker, but details are understandably sparse with
Didi Reidenbach busy prepping the team for their qualification game.
