Vreys has been stereotyped as the tough guy for much of his career, and homesickness saw him not last long in Romania with either Meridiavscili or Red Blue Cats, after leaving de prutserkes as a teenager. He would find a home in Germany with BembelSchwaben FC, thankfully, and stayed ten seasons before a taste of the Polish third division at Obra Kościan.
