A hit whether with the academy of St. Xavier's FC or Maltese up-and-comers Lokomotiv Pannocchia, whom he helped to Division Two twice, Lim has made a name for himself as a defender's fullback. Solid down the wings, but even better in the tackle, few could raise much against his discipline in his seven callups for the national youth squad.

Club honours remained sparse despite his picking up both youth and senior Player of the Season recognition with the Buns, however, and eight seasons in Norway yielded little better before his return.
