Dark skies made the crowd of 55159 at
The Cooking Pot a little nervous, but the rain held off.

Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Shadow Chaser(R) SC, the formation of choice was 3-5-2. Today, Grilled's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks, taking advantage of their divine (+2) (22) level with that tactic. It was an obvious ambition of Chaser(R) to use their magnificent (12) ability at attacking on the flanks. It was obvious that Grilled had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 15 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
Orest Tokarz, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. After 17 minutes,
Phua Ming Xin put Grilled ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Chaser(R)'s
Vincenzo Rossetto was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 18 minutes. Grilled's
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 25 minutes.
Joe Reece of Grilled received a yellow card after 27 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Players in Grilled heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead.
Joe Reece increased the lead for Grilled to 4 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! It was 4 - 0 at the break. Grilled had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.
As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Chad Thach reluctantly made way for
Chia Kwang Tse on the pitch. After 46 minutes, the Chaser(R) coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Şevki Deniz off the field.
Cameron Currier took his place. With
Şevki Deniz no longer on the pitch,
Cameron Currier became the new set pieces taker. Grilled's
Phua Ming Xin swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. With 58 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
Cameron Currier needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. Chaser(R) certainly deserved a goal after some stunning play down the left, but
Eugenio Familiari just wasn't able to finish. Chaser(R)'s
Azmil Rida Mohammad Hazim was shown a yellow card after 71 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
With 77 minutes played, Grilled's
Joe Reece almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. 85 into the match, Chaser(R)'s
Talib Umman fell flat on his chest. After a breather, he was ready to continue.
Phua Ming Xin should probably have put his team up another goal after 86 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by
Julian Pilichiewicz kept the visitors in the game. The game was close to savage at times, and Chaser(R)'s
Vincenzo Rossetto received a second yellow card after 87 minutes; his ticket out of the game. 88 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Damian Hutter came on for
夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai).
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy was handed the Grilled captain's armband.
Marcelinho Auriani was doing a great job on his wing, sending in brilliant passes to his teammates in the middle, but
Li Jie Meng seemed unable to profit from this excellent service. Grilled put themselves up 5 - 0 when
Joe Reece broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
Aw Keng Chuan would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Teo Chuan Yong entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes.
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Orest Tokarz had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 89 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 3 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 5 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy. However,
Teo Chuan Yong made a disastrous appearance. Chaser(R)'s best player was
省伍 (Shogo) 山岡 (Yamaoka).
Julian Pilichiewicz on the other hand, had a terrible day.
