Grilled 7 - 3 Blizzard
07 spectators had found their way to The Cooking Pot, despite the heavy rain.
Giampiero Arciozzi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Patrick Gauser and
Ole Holm Nielsen. Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Seng - bin Ahmad, Bakhtiar, Ross - 力勇 (Liyong), bin Mohd Kassim, Ying Lee, 勇航 (Yonghang) , 福泉 (Fuquan) - Bellamoli, Wan Kang.
Blizzard decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Derwa - Fear, Mead, Romano - Gaardsøe, Stockton, Pérusse, Roy, Eyer - Faulkner, Karasimos.
The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
D. Pérusse. The counterattacks of Blizzard were deadly and 11 minutes into the game,
William Faulkner received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 0 - 1.
William Faulkner of Blizzard seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
Bryan Mead. A marvellous Grilled effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 18 minutes by
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim, making the score 1 - 2. After 21 minutes of play,
Pompeo Bellamoli equalised for Grilled after an elegant attack from the right. Grilled took the lead after 22 minutes as a result of
Leong Wan Kang's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 3 - 2. It was 3 - 2 at the break. Grilled had most of the ball, with 70 percent of possession.
The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Blizzard's coach gave
Benjamin Merchant the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
Panos Karasimos reluctantly left the field.
Pompeo Bellamoli increased the lead for Grilled to 4 - 2, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim squirmed through their central defence after 63 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 2. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 65 minutes,
Djan Bacelar came on for
Pompeo Bellamoli. 66 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Leong Wan Kang broke through, making the score 6 - 2 for Grilled. Grilled solidified their lead at the 68 minute mark, as
田. 勇航 (Yonghang) dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 7 - 2. After this, you could see that the players of Grilled were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Blizzard's
Cor Eyer was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 75 minutes.
Richard Rosales was given a chance to change things around. Blizzard needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 77 minutes
D. Pérusse made way for
Wlaaeldin Mahdi. The visitors' right side was dangerous today;
Lionnel Roy made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 7 - 3 78 minutes into the match. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let
Gleb Dorogan replace
Leong Wan Kang after 85 minutes.
Hilal Bakhtiar left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 88 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
Alex Fonseca was the replacement. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 73 percent of the time.
Grilled's best player was
凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) .
Dan Seng was a disappointment, however. Blizzard's top performer was clearly
N. Gaardsøe. However,
Bryan Mead made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 7 - 3.
