Tian Yonghang refused to offer any excuses, for the club losing all three of their games in the Dominion International Cup. "The world is big and wide." the head coach said at length. "And all of them were, on the day at least, better than us. It was just like that."
Tian did note the team's failure to convert their chances, despite manufacturing their fair share of them, even deep into the second half. "There were some heavy legs out there. Maybe it was a mistake packing our schedule this tightly - but I don't think many of our guys regretted the chance to take on quality opposition."
Ville Warriors would defeat Munich Bengal Tigers in their own dead rubber, as most expected, and the 3-0 whitewash spoke plenty about the Warriors' sheer class. "I don't envy Featureship FC, who have to play them next." Tian concluded. "Warriors must be one of the favourites to win the whole thing, but if Featureship do pull off the improbable - well, they would have done Singapore very proud!"
