Airways 1 - 5 Grilled

56 spectators arrived at Zayed Sports City stadium, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Andrea Caracciolo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bo Steffensen and Zakir Rzayev. Airways started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: From - Õigus, Karlsson, Schlunegger - Hendriks, Falkin, Imieliński, Ibn-Haroun, Moldovan - Mora, Kaul-Seidman.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - Seng-Huat, Siu-Cheung, Pakpao - Fernández Riviera, Siu-Yue, Paullin, Rottman, Kolesov - Stern, Chiew-Yen.

Grilled took the lead 11 minutes into the game, scoring the 0 - 1 goal after some elegant plays down the middle. Jon Andrea Rottman was the scorer. After 12 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Chen Chiew-Yen who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 2. After 21 minutes, Damien Kaul-Seidman had a good opportunity to reduce the scoreline for Airways with a chance created through the middle, but wasn't cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar. After 39 minutes Joe Stern made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Chen Chiew-Yen who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 0 - 3. The game had been on for 40 minutes when Au-Yong Siu-Yue broke through on the right, upping the score for Grilled to 0 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Chen Chiew-Yen came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but he lifted the ball over Uffe From and it was a little too high and hit the bar. A marvellous Airways effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 58 minutes by Saleem Ibraheem Ibn-Haroun, making the score 1 - 4. Grilled's Weng Seng-Huat got himself booked for a foul. Saleem Ibraheem Ibn-Haroun almost put the reducer away having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper. The game had been on for 70 minutes when Chen Chiew-Yen broke through on the right, upping the score for Grilled to 1 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. This third goal made a hat trick for Chen Chiew-Yen. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. Honggi Schlunegger of Airways received a yellow card after 71 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Jon Andrea Rottman was, after 80 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but home side's keeper Uffe From made the save. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 55 percent of possession.

The most dominating Airways player was without a doubt Kristoffer Falkin. Wojciech Imieliński on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was Au-Yong Siu-Yue. Kau Siu-Cheung was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
