Hong Goes Aragon
18 year-old Birds academy defender Hong Heng Ah accepted a free transfer to Spanish Division Seven outfit Aragonxperience this evening, as the new management started off by refreshing their youth ranks. Head coach Felip Mas also brought in Kristopher Okon, César Artur Lopes Cruz and Paka Matiku at the same time, with an eye towards a solid development process.
Some of his former Wings mates were not so fortunate, sadly, with Krishnamurthy Nair and Wan Ridza Nasiruddin having to give up their professional footballer dreams. It was the same for Farmer Bunnies' Hung Chao Lai and Siu Shun Jin, with Mail bin Hj Rosmin and Damit bin Embran also having their temporary contracts terminated by Grilled International.
This would not be all, with the clubs also announcing a number of departures of note. From Grilled Birds, 59 year-old former head coach
Hilal Bakhtiar will retire fully from his advisory position, with
Dante Tran and
Chirag Thevar also calling it a day to pursue other interests. Farmer Bunnies will see
Dalibor Kostadinović off, together with 42 year-old former Italian youth star
Billy Camperio, who was concurrently inducted into their Hall of Fame.
As for Grilled International, three more founding players would call it a day, with
Yao Erguo,
Saswata Shah and
Hj Sabri bin Hj Kamis deciding to run out their contracts together. "It's been a long trip." Yao, who had made over a hundred starts in his 27 seasons at the club, sighed. "And it had to end sooner or later."
