Grilled Birds officially registered academy midfielder Mohd Marzuki Khairul to the senior squad today, with the lad ensuring that the Number Seventeen jersey last worn by Salah Kamel and Florus Romijn would not remain unclaimed for long. Accounted as perhaps the most natural playmaker amongst himself, Lim and Chia, Marzuki should have no issues with reforming the Chicken Wings nucleus with them, at the professional level.

Not one for talk, Marzuki would conspiciously decline comment after the signing ceremony, and it would be left to 18 year-old Mohsen El Khateeb to entertain the reporters. Having snagged an unscheduled friendly appearance against Ivory Castle, Mohsen would be more than happy to extend his stay on a rolling contract, backdated to last week.
