Blocman Says Yap
French Division Six club blocman came in for Grilled Birds youngster Yap Shi Ting on a free transfer today, notwithstanding the at best indifferent reports on the 17 year-old. Registered as a winger, Yap has not featured much in that role - or indeed, any other - for the Chicken Wings, and is perhaps best known for several Youtube videos featuring some trick free-kicks.
Head scout Tham Beng Li advised Yap to make the best of this windfall. "Getting a foot into the pro game has been tenuous, even for the skilled, and in all honesty Yap may or may not be in that category. But let me not put him down too much - he may yet surprise us all."
