Grilled International's 17 year-old defensive trainee Hasmali bin Hj Taha would be picked up by Brunei II.1 side Jokers 2013 F.C. on a free transfer today. The former Brunei Consolation Cup winners were brimming with cash, having just sold Dutch goalie Tjarco Heylen on for S$13 million, though International didn't get much if any of that.
Getting selected by head coach Fritz Weinfurtner was, of course, something of a distinction in itself, and Hasmali promised to give it his best shot.
